Lust auf ein Experiment?
Ich suche für mein Kunstprojekt THE ART EXPERIMENT experimentierfreudige Teilnehmer*innen.
Das Experiment (von lateinisch experimentum, „das in Erfahrung Gebrachte“) ist eine spielerische Erkundung der eigenen Lebensräume. Es verfolgt die Idee, individuelle Erfahrungen und Wahrnehmungen im Raum zu reflektieren, mit anderen zu teilen und in einen Austausch zu überführen.
Die Realisierung des Projekts THE ART EXPERIMENT wird durch ein Stipendium des Ministeriums für Kultur und Wissenschaft des Landes Nordrhein-Westfalen unterstützt.
Wie funktioniert das Experiment?
Es gibt eine Spielleiterin und freiwillige Mitspieler*innen. Die Spielleiterin übermittelt etwa einmal die Woche über einen Zeitraum von ca. acht Wochen jeweils 1-2 Nachrichten mit einer konkreten Aufgabenstellung an die Mitspieler*innen. Die Nachrichten werden vorher nicht angekündigt; es sind spontane Fragen oder Handlungsanweisungen, die leicht zu bewältigende Aufgaben umfassen, die die Mitspielenden zu kreativen Antworten bzw. Handlungen auffordern.
Keine Sorge, die Aufgaben sind leicht zu lösen und erfordern einen Zeitaufwand von jeweils nur ein bis fünf Minuten.
Wichtig ist, dass die Aufgaben zeitnah gelöst werden.
Eine Antwort kann aus einem Wort, einem Zweizeiler, einer Zeichnung oder einem Foto mit Titel bestehen.
Die Kommunikation zwischen Spielleiterin und Teilnehmer*in via Mobiltelephon (SMS, Signal, WhatsApp) ist optimal und der einfachste und schnellste Weg der Nachrichtenübermittlung.
Antworten können aber auch via E-Mail versendet werden. Jede*r Teilnehmer*in kann das Kunstprojekt mitgestalten, in dem er/sie seine/ihre Ergebnisse mittels Foto, Film, Text etc. dokumentiert und diese teilt.
Der Spielablauf wurde in einer ersten Experimentphase (Experiment I) getestet.
Welche Erfahrungen die Teilnehmer*innen dabei gemacht haben, erfährst du in den Kurzfilmen auf der Website.
Gestalte das Kunstexperiment aktiv mit, in dem du deine Ergebnisse mittels Foto, Text etc. dokumentierst. Die Ergebnisse können anonym (Initialen/Spitzname) oder mit deinem Klarnamen auf der Website veröffentlicht werden. Du kannst dein eigenes Experiment natürlich auch ganz privat dokumentieren. Wer weiß, vielleicht denkst du dir eine Fortsetzung des Experiments aus.
Werde Teil des Experiments. Durch deine Teilnahme gestaltest du nicht nur das Kunstprojekt aktiv mit, sondern du setzt dich mit der räumlichen Situation, in der du dich zum Zeitpunkt der Aufgabenstellung befindest, auf eine völlig neue Art und Weise auseinander.
Du wirst sehen, auch gewohnte Erfahrungen erscheinen durch die spontane Aufgabenstellung in neuem Licht und machen sie auf neue Weise erlebbar.

How about an experiment?
I am looking for resourceful participants for the project THE ART EXPERIMENT.
The experiment (from Latin experimentum, a trial, test, proof, experiment, noun of action from experiri, to try, test, from ex, out of and peritus, experienced, tested) is a playful exploration of individual (living) environments and spaces. The underlying idea of the Art Experiment: In the course of the project participants reflect on their individual experiences and perceptions in private, public and other spaces, share them and initiate an exchange and dialogue with others.
The realization of the project is supported by a grant from the Ministry of Culture and Science of North Rhine-Westphalia.
How does the experiment work?
Main actors of the experiment are voluntary players and a game master. Over a period of about eight weeks and about once a week, the game master sends 1-2 messages to the players. Every message is sent without prior notice and includes a specific task, which may be a question or a call to action. The instructions are easy to manage and encourage the player to respond in a spontaneous, playful, creative way. Don't worry, every task is easy to respond to and only takes one to five minutes to complete. It is important however that a given task is solved spontaneously and promptly.
A response to a message may consist of one word, a two-line comment, a drawing or a photo with a corresponding title. The communication between game master and participant via mobile phone is ideal and sending messages via SMS, Signal or WhatsApp is the easiest and fastest way. But of course, response messages can also be sent via email. Every participant is invited to help shape the art project by documenting his / her responses/results using photo, film, text, etc. and sharing them with others.
The experiment was tested in a first phase (Experiment I). Short films on the website show some impressions of the exploratory tour of the participants of Eperiment I.
Take an active part in the art experiment and help shape the project by documenting your results using photos, text, etc. If you agree, the results will be published on the project website. You decide if your results will be shown anonymously (initials / nickname) or with your real name. Another option is to document your experiment in a private album. Who knows, you might come up with your own follow-up of the experiment.
Become part of the experiment. By participating in the project you actively help shape the art experiment and – by responding to an unannounced message - you will gain new experiences in the spatial situation you are in. You will see, your spontaneous response to a question or task will even make familiar experiences appear in a new light and make them tangible in a new way.
